As some may know from reading previous posts, one of my new duties has been to create our unit's newsletter, "The Hog's Breath." It was worthwhile for me because I'm learning a new layout program--Adobe InDesign CS2...could be of use in the civilian world. Besides that, the 1SG has tasked me to become the unit's historian...possibly because he knows history was my major or perhaps because he feels I havn't enough to do. Either way, it works for me. I like unique projects and working through differing problems till resolution. Speaking of history, this picture depicts the devil's playground indeed. Notice the netting filled with Iranian helmets from previous wars with Iraq. Strange feelings looking at such war trophies.

Bobby-
I just wanted to send you a THANK YOU for the postcard. I didn't expect it which I makes me appreciate it even more. Keep posting...I enjoy reading your entries.
You and yours (both here and there) will remain in my prayers.
Thanks again,
T
The Iraqis have always been a peaceful people led by benevolent dictators who did more good than harm.
It's absolutely shocking to me that this great nation has war trophies on public display. The helmets of dead men should not be used in such a fashion!
